RH Rooftop Restaurant and Street Beet in Downtown Birmingham 2026

Two new dining developments are part of downtown Birmingham's restaurant scene in fall 2026. RH Rooftop Restaurant at RH Detroit is open on the fourth floor of RH's gallery at 300 South Old Woodward, and the plant-based sandwich shop Street Beet lists a Birmingham location as coming soon at 233 North Old Woodward.

RH, the home design retailer, opened its Detroit gallery downtown in late 2025, and the company's official restaurant page describes the fourth-floor dining space as serving American and Mediterranean classics in a year-round skylight garden. It operates as a full-service restaurant in the gallery with reservations available through the usual booking channels, and current dining listings show it active through the 2026 season. For families this is more of a planned night out than a quick lunch stop, and it tends to fill up around dinner.

Street Beet, which runs a plant-based sandwich shop, lists a Birmingham address at 233 North Old Woodward as coming soon on its official online ordering page, and no opening date has been announced yet. The shop's own website is the best place to watch for news. A quick-service sandwich spot like this would add a more casual everyday option to the strip, which families can put to use on a regular downtown visit rather than saving it for a special occasion.

These two sit alongside a stretch of new restaurants and shops that have joined downtown Birmingham through 2026, and the earlier New in Town posts in this blog track those other openings neighborhood by neighborhood. With both an upscale rooftop room and a coming sandwich shop in the same block, Old Woodward continues to build out options at very different times and prices, for whatever timing the week allows.

What's the best that could happen?
