Halloween season in Oakland County starts well before October 31, and the family events below all have confirmed 2026 dates from official city, downtown, and museum listings. Each entry includes the source of its date, and several of the events have dedicated coverage elsewhere in this blog with the full detail.
In Rochester, the Downtown Trick-or-Treat and Halloween Fest took place Saturday, October 17, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., a free event from the Rochester Downtown Development Authority, so that event has now wrapped for 2026. Children trick-or-treat at the district's merchants and a Halloween Fest follows in the Farmers Market lot, all confirmed on the authority's official calendar.
Troy has two Halloween dates on its recreation calendar worth marking, one of which has now taken place. The Family Fall Fest ran Saturday, October 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jeanne M. Stine Community Park, 241 Town Center Drive, with a trick-or-treat trail, bounce houses, pumpkin picking, and cider and donuts, so that event has wrapped for 2026. Still ahead, the Frightful 5K and Pumpkin 1K happens on Sunday, October 25, at the Troy Community Center, with the kids fun run starting at 9:30 a.m. after the race at 8:30 a.m., and costumes are encouraged.
The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm held its Stone Wall Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, October 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., so that event has now wrapped for 2026. Its activities included pumpkin carving, pumpkin bowling, hayrides, live entertainment, and crafts, with more detail in the dedicated festival guide.
In Birmingham, the season's final Farmers Market day is Sunday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Public Parking Lot #6 at 660 North Old Woodward Avenue, with an End of Season Celebration and in-season Market finale. The market's end-of-season programming is covered in the fall events guide on this blog.
Taken together, these events give families a run of options across Oakland County from mid-October into the last weekend of the month. All the dates above come from primary sources, but local events do change, so parents should confirm on the city and venue pages right before they go.
