Fall in Oakland County brings a familiar rhythm of festivals that families look forward to all year, and 2026 has a solid lineup. Here is a guide to the seasonal events still ahead this fall, organized by city.

Rochester and Rochester Hills

The Art and Apples Festival took place September 11 through 13 at Rochester Municipal Park, so that event has now wrapped for 2026. It is one of Michigan's largest juried fine art festivals, and families who missed it can look for it again next September. The October events on this list are what remain ahead.

The Stone Wall Pumpkin Festival takes place Saturday, October 10, at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, 1005 Van Hoosen Road. The event includes pumpkin carving (pumpkin included with admission), pumpkin bowling, live entertainment, crafts, hayrides, face painting, and a fire truck display.

Bloomfield Hills

The Bowers School Farm Fall Festival runs the weekend of October 3 and 4, with additional weekends continuing through October 24. Located at 1219 East Square Lake Road, the festival features pumpkin picking, wagon rides, a corn maze, animal interaction, live music, food trucks, face painting, a bounce house, and a mechanical bull. Admission is $17 per person, with discounts for farm members.

Birmingham

The Birmingham Farmers Market continues Sundays through late October, and the market's End of Season Celebration in late October includes special activities. The BirminghamBURGER event runs throughout October, with participating downtown restaurants offering burger specials.
