The Best Playgrounds in Troy, Ranked by a Parent Who Has Been to All of Them

I have been to every playground in Troy with my kid, and some of them are genuinely great while others are the kind where you stand around thinking about what you could be doing instead. Here is my honest ranking.

Number one is the most underrated and that is Borden Park. It is not the biggest, but it has a good mix of equipment for different ages, shade trees, and enough open space that you can bring a ball or a frisbee and make a morning of it. The restrooms are clean, which matters more than people admit.

Wattles Park is the classic. Big, well-maintained, and always busy, which means your kid will find someone to play with. The splash pad in summer is a bonus. Parking can be a pain on weekends.

Jaycee Park is great for younger kids specifically. The equipment is scaled well for toddlers, and the surrounding path is flat enough for bikes and scooters. It is a good choice when you want low-key rather than ambitious.

The Troy Community Park is the one people mention first because it is the biggest, and it is fine, but it can feel spread out and a little sterile. Good for big groups and birthday parties. Less good for a random Tuesday afternoon when you just want somewhere to go.
